Generic Host and delayed start up

Is it possible with a generic host to delay NSB start up, until something needs the IMessageSession?

I am using RMQ transport and it is RMQ may not be ready on start up. Still I want my Windows Service to start gracefully.

Hi @Stig_Christensen,

Nope, I don’t think that’s currently possible. I think that would get complex around what to do if you do need the IMessageSession shortly after startup and it weren’t available. Having never verified that it was up, the meaning of a circuit breaker there gets dicey.

Can you share more information about why RabbitMQ wouldn’t be ready to go when you’re starting your Windows service?
