We recently shifted from MSMQ to ASB, Post this migration I could see millions of messages are being piled up in “Outbox”. Is it normal to see such pile up or it is because of some configuration issue?
Could you estimate how mamy message per unit of time (hour/day?) does your system process? Do you see all your outbox table grow or only selected ones? To investigate further we would also need to know your endpoint configuration code and packages and versions you use (especially the persistence).
By default the outbox keeps 7 days worth of data so if your endpoint processes one message per second, the outbox table normal size would be around 600K records.
