Hi everyone,
We’ve just released NServiceBus 10.0.1 and 9.2.9.
Fixed bugs
- #7611 Assembly scanner can load types more than once from different AssemblyLoadContexts
How to know if you are affected
You are affected if you use NServiceBus 10 in an integration test or as part of a plugin system where NServiceBus is not loaded into the default AssemblyLoadContext.
The latest version of NServiceBus 9 is also patched out of an abundance of caution, though no known effects have been observed for users of that version.
Symptoms
If assemblies are loaded multiple times into different AssemblyLoadContexts, multiple symptoms might be observed, such as:
- ModuleInitializer code running more than once (as shown in the original issue report, included at the end of this issue description)
- Handler or saga code could potentially be executed twice per message, depending on the nature of the relationship between handler/saga classes to message types.
When to upgrade
You should upgrade immediately if you are affected. Otherwise, you should upgrade during your next maintenance window.
Where to get it
You can install the new versions of NServiceBus from NuGet.
Please read our release policy for more details.
With thanks,
The team in Particular
