- #1971 Trailing spaces in the instance name lead to unexpected behavior
How to know if you are affected
You are affected if:
- You’re using the Azure Service Bus transport with ServiceControl
- You’re using the ServiceControl Management Utility
Symptoms
In the ServiceControl Management Utility:
- Trailing spaces in the “Name” field can result in the tool freezing.
- Trailing spaces in the “Name” field result in trailing periods in the instance name.
In ServiceControl when using Azure Service Bus transport:
- When manually resolving pending retries, the operation could fail, causing messages to remain pending.
When to upgrade
You should upgrade immediately if you are using the Azure Service Bus transport with ServiceControl.
Otherwise, you should upgrade during your next maintenance window.
