- #3755 Unable to create instances using the RabbitMQ - Direct routing topology (quorum queues) transport when using Powershell
How to know if you are affected
You are affected if:
- Your NServiceBus endpoints process polymorphic messages and you are using ServiceControl Monitoring.
- You are attempting to use PowerShell to create ServiceControl instances that use the RabbitMQ - Direct routing topology (quorum queues) transport.
Symptoms
- NServiceBus endpoints throw exceptions caused by RabbitMQ rate limiting.
- The ServiceControl monitoring log file and the Windows event log contain many instances of
System.IO.FileLoadException: The given assembly name or codebase was invalid. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131047). - Creating a ServiceControl instance using Powershell fails, with the message “Sequence contains no matching element”.
When to upgrade
You should upgrade immediately if you are affected by #3760, since processing throughput may be severely affected.
You should upgrade immediately if you are affected by #3755, so that you can use PowerShell to create ServiceControl instances that use the RabbitMQ - Direct routing topology (quorum queues) transport.
Otherwise, you should upgrade during your next maintenance window.
