We’ve just released ServiceControl 5.0.0.
This version of ServiceControl uses RavenDB 5 for storage for both primary and audit instances. This is an important step toward running ServiceControl in Linux containers.
It also introduces a couple of changes to how ServiceControl instances are installed and managed:
- The Powershell management module is no longer part of the installer and is available only via the Powershell Module Gallery.
- ServiceControl Management Utility is shipped as a self-contained executable and does not require installation.

Should you upgrade immediately
You should upgrade during the next maintenance window. This process requires prior planning and should follow the available upgrade guidance.
