Hi everyone,
We’ve just released ServiceControl 6.8.1.
Fixed bugs
- #5241 Issue in the Service Control Management Utility (SCMU) with hostname validation, where dashes were incorrectly rejected and invalid hostname characters were allowed.
- #5237 Incorrect “Launch RavenDB Studio” link in the Service Control Management Utility (SCMU) while in maintenance mode.
How to know if you are affected
For #5241, you are affected if:
- Using the Service Control Management Utility (SCMU) earlier than version 6.8.1.
For #5237, you are affected if:
- Using ServiceControl greater than version 4.33.0.
Symptoms
For #5241, the hostname field does not allow typing dashes and allows characters that are not valid in hostnames, resulting in runtime failures when attempting to resolve the specified host.
For #5237, the “Launch RavenDB Studio” link shown during maintenance mode points to the configured custom hostname instead of localhost. Attempting to navigate to the configured link will result in a DNS probe error.
When to upgrade
You should upgrade during your next maintenance window.
