ServicePulse 2.9.1 – Patch release available

Hi everyone,

We’ve just released ServicePulse 2.9.1.

Fixed bugs

  • #3060 My permissions page always shows even if authorization is disabled
  • #3059 Prevent unauthorized call to throughput/test if user does not have access
  • #3047 Messages view does not indicate that it is waiting for a response from ServiceControl

How to know if you are affected

You are affected by #3060 if you have authentication enabled but not authorization

You are affected by #3059 if authorization is enabled and the user accessing ServicePulse does not have the admin role

You are affected by #3047 if the ServiceControl API requests from the All Messages view take a long time.

Symptoms

For #3060, the “Your Permissions” tab will show you as a user with permissions to all actions. While this is technically correct, the permissions tab should actually reflect that authorization is not enabled.

For #3059, ServicePulse will show an “Access denied” toast popup when opening ServicePulse. This will happen even if the user does not attempt to do anything.

For #3047, the UI does not indicate that a request from ServiceControl is in progress on the All Messages view.

When to upgrade

You should upgrade immediately if you are affected. Otherwise, you should upgrade during your next maintenance window.

Where to get it

You can download the new version of ServicePulse from our website or Docker Hub.
